About Us

Be Still Retreat began after taking a church retreat in February 2023 after seeing the need to get away from the business of life and enjoy God’s creation and fellowship with one another. Retreats break down walls and bring groups closer together. Our theme verse is Psalm 46:10 which says “Be still and know that I am God…” We obtained non-profit status in the Fall of 2023

Meet the Team

  • Austin Dupper

    FOUNDER

    Austin grew up in Decatur, AL, and has a heart for reaching the next generation with the knowledge of Jesus Christ. He works as a minister at FBC Decatur and helps out with the local high school football team, and his favorite verse is James 1:2 which says, “Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance.”

  • Aaron Edwards

    Founder

    Aaron grew up in Decatur and graduated with an engineering degree from Auburn University. He builds houses and is involved with the student ministry at FBC Decatur. He loves the Lord and if you are looking for someone to serve selflessly with joy, look no further than Aaron.
